Author Missy Johnson is no stranger to the writing world, but ALWAYS YOU is the first book I have had the pleasure to read by her and I loved every minute of it, so you can bet I will be looking for more titles she has penned.
ALWAYS YOU is a sexy, (fairly) new release that could have easily been ripped from the headlines and brings to mind a slew of ethical and moral dilemmas. For most rational adults, the decision to become involved with a person in a subordinate position seems to be a black and white issue – but oh no, there are many shades of grey especially when you open “that” door.
Wrenn is seventeen and has had a lot thrown at her in her relatively short life; her entire life was uprooted when she was sent to the elite school filled with rich bitches. They hate her because she is poor. They hate her because she is the niece of the headmistress. Ultimately, I think they really hate her because she is pretty and kind and smart – people are intimidated by things they perceive as different and she is definitely different from the girls she is forced to interact with on a daily basis. Her outlook on the future at “The Academy” was bleak – until HE walked in. . . The entire student body is in an uproar; giddy with the possibilities of some much needed eye-candy to get them through the days.

That's what Wrenn's aunt and headmistress had to say about all the chatter about this handsome new teacher joining the staff. Really? That’s all you care about? *Snort* I doubt that!
Dalton Reed is a hot, young teacher who has been given a chance of a lifetime teaching a bevvy of beautiful and wealthy young girls at the exclusive boarding school, Tennerson Girls Academy. Sounds awesome, right? Well, it was awesome until Dalton crossed that line from teacher to friend and ultimately to lover with one of his students... Relax; she turned eighteen before anything happened…

Dalton, I get it! You are a young guy with raging hormones and she is a pretty young thing that is so close to your age that in a few years, no one will even blink an eye at a relationship if it transpired, but TODAY IS TODAY and you are her TEACHER!!

FATAL MISTAKE #1 YOUNG BUCK!
So, if I were watching this story unfold in my community, I would crucify the guy, but hey – it’s not the real world and I was rooting for Wrenn and Dalton until the very end. I loved the story. ALWAYS YOU takes place in a high school setting, but I would categorize it as “New Adult”. If you are a lover of the genre and like a story that makes you question what you view as “wrong” and “right,” then it is a must read! Enjoy!
