Something Different by S.A. Reid /T.BAGGINS

Something DifferentSomething Different by S.A. Reid/T.BAGGINS

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

SOMETHING DIFFERENT is the second book I have read by S.A. Reid and she really has a special talent for lightening up the darkest of tales. Ms. Reid has a unique voice telling stories that you can't help but get sucked into.

The tale she tells is a common one of a man unsatisfied with his life...existing in a fog of mediocrity from day to day until he finally succumbs to his desires and seeks some sexual relief and gratification in the form of a prostitute. What he finds is so much greater than he could have ever imagined. Michael ventures out in search of his own PRETTY WOMAN, but ends up with a young man who ultimately rocks his world - physically and emotionally.

SOMETHING DIFFERENT isn't all lightness and sweet, though there are parts that are, it is a little dark and sad - it's an emotional read. The story really delves into how Michael's actions affect his family life, his work life and his overall state of mind. When he finds his "something different" it truly changes his life. I was actually surprised at the turn of events and loved how the secondary character stories played out.

Check out SOMETHING DIFFERENT for a wonderful story that will make you second-guess your preconceived notions about prostitutes and cheaters - it will take you on a bit of an emotional roller coaster, but ultimately leave you feeling happy about the journey.

ETA...Just read that this is a self-published book which is even more impressive as it is very well edited - more so than many professionally edited books I have read.

Damaged Goods by Lauren Gallagher

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

DAMAGED GOODS is a solid five star read. It's chocked full of the emotion you long for when reading a great romance and the steam you expect from any naughty little erotica.

So you have undoubtedly read the description of DAMAGED GOODS and you know that this is a story about a lonely single mother named Jocelyn who hires an escort to fulfill her fantasies for a night...or at least that was the original plan. I saw her emotional attachment to the man coming from a mile away... How could you not become emotionally attached to someone who is fulfilling your desires and meeting needs that haven't truly ever been met? I would say that it is nearly impossible to keep your heart out of it.

DAMAGED GOODS addresses the social stigma attached to being a prostitute and dating one - these were, of course, of no surprise to me. One point that was brought up, however that made me look at this scenario a little differently though is this: what is the difference between a woman who pays for an escort - meaning time, company and possibly sex and a woman who goes on a date with a man in return for a nice dinner, date, an expensive flower arrangement and possibly a piece of jewelry and maybe a little action? Something to think about!

If you are in the mood for a great story that's full of emotion and hot scenes, then look no further than DAMAGED GOODS .

Bordello Secrets by Heather Whittington

Bordello SecretsBordello Secrets by Heather Whittington

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Whoa! Something fishy is definitely going on at the Bordello and I was very intrigued to know exactly what it was!

The elusive Master of the bordello is hiding something...something big. The ladies of the night, his ladies, never dare to question why they never remember the nights they spend in his company and his bed. When the new girl, Marie, is told of the mysterious ways of the Master, she is determined to get to the bottom of the big mystery.

For a quick, 32 page read, there sure was a lot going on, but it didn't feel at all rushed. I would have enjoyed reading a bit more about Marie and Master after the big secret is revealed, but the story felt complete as it was.
